A serious amendment...

After looking into it a little more, apparently my statement that the Argentine team is "very good" might be a bit of an understatement. They happen to be rated number 1 in the world (theworld!) on the FIFA website, and Ecuador comes in at less than inspiring 59. In light of this new knowledge, Argentina hardly lived up to their reputation. They should have completely dominated the game. Nonetheless, the game was good. I just didn't want you all to go around thinking the soccer here is Argentina is anything less that the best in the world. Below I will enlighten you a bit more, and share with you everything I know about the Argentine team. 

Pictured above is Lionel Messi. His number is 18 and he is only 20 years old. He plays for FC Barcelona and has probably accomplished more that I ever will. He is arguably the best player on the team, and it seemed like the only way that Ecuador knew how to deal with him was to put at least two defenders, as can be noted in the above photo, between him and the goal, or the ball. This only worked sometimes. He is really quite amazing to watch play. 

Pictured above is Sergio Agüero. He is also good, and also a baby - 19 years old. He plays for Atlético Madrid and seems to be equally famous for his soccer playing talents as for dating Diego Maradona's daughter. (In case you're not up on your soccer history, Maradona scored both of the goals that led Argentina to victory on England in the 1986 World Cup. One of those goals was actually a handball - yes, this legend scored a goal in the World Cup with his hand. Totally illegal!)

Pictured above is Rodrigo Palacio. He's the guy who finally scored the goal in the last few seconds of the game. He was subbed in during the second half of the game and I bet someone is super happy that decision was made.
